Dogs must be met and visited before the availability date by anyone interested in adopting the day the dog becomes available. If your home has children or other animals, they must be brought in to meet the dog before the adoption can be allowed.

Adoption Fee: $125.00 – includes Spay/Neuter, Rabies, Heart-worm test, 5:1 Booster, Bordetella, Deworming, and a County Dog License.

Adopting a dog is a beautiful lifetime commitment. Here are some questions to consider before adopting:

• Have I introduced my current dog and all the members of my household to the new dog? Are they compatible?
• The average cost of having a dog in the first year is $1,200. The dog will need to visit the vet’s office at least once a year for vaccination and check-ups. Can I afford the financial responsibilities that come along with having a dog, or a certain breed of dog?
• Do I have the time to give this dog everything it needs, including walks, playtime, love and attention?
• Have I spent enough time with this dog before adopting it? Is this the right fit for me?
